Course

The Polar Bear 5K Race is certified by USATF (AL98003JD) and organized by B & B Race Services. The race starts and ends on Third Street in front of First Baptist Church. The course is mostly flat with a few "hilly" sections. There will be water stations at the halfway and finish points.

Phantom Runner
If you cannot participate on race day but would like to support the FBC Youth Choir, and receive a race T-shirt, then register as a Phantom Runner. You do not receive a race number, but you will be mailed a T-shirt following the event.

Top Male and Female Masters (40+)
Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age division above.


Race Packet
All entrants receive the Polar Bear Run T-Shirt, race number, complimentary refreshments, automatic entry for a variety of post-race drawings, and other items included in your registration packet. Packet pickup will begin at 7:30 a.m. the day of the race. No race confirmation or packet will be mailed.


Food
Be sure to check out the delicious food and beverages in the Fellowship Hall. You will enjoy the best "Race Day Spread" found anywhere.


Emergency Services
A registered Nurse will be on site to assist with any health problems that occur.


Post Race Drawings
Don't forget to stay for the award ceremony and the post-race drawings. There will be over $1000 worth of prizes.

Benefit
Our goal is to promote our church and community while raising funds for the FBC Youth Choir Summer Tour/Mission Trip. The FBC Youth Choir Trip has for the past 23 years given teenagers an opportunity to serve and minister to others. With over 100 young people, this choir is one of the largest youth choirs in the Southeast. It has performed concerts and mission work in numerous states and Canada.
